This page is maintained by the BUEXAM team as customer-facing product copy. It is not a certification of compliance.
BUEXAM stores only the account and practice data it needs to operate the product: your email address, your attempts, your answers (including written responses), and your discussion posts.
Written responses are stored so you can review them and so we can improve question quality. They are not shared publicly and are not passed to third-party graders.
You can request deletion of your account and associated practice data by contacting us. Contact information is on the Contact page.
Only what we need — email, exam prefs, attempts.
No selling, no ad targeting, no third-party trackers.

1. Data we collect
Account data: your email, chosen display name, language preference, and exam preference (IELTS, TOEFL, BUEPT, or All-Access).
Practice data: your attempts, timings, answers, writing submissions, and the feedback returned to you. This is stored so you can review past sittings.
Technical data: request logs, IP address, and user agent — kept only as long as needed to keep the service secure and debug problems.
2. How we use it
To run the product: sign you in, show your history, and generate practice reports.
To improve content: aggregated attempt data helps us spot ambiguous questions and refine rubrics. This never identifies individual candidates.
To contact you about your account: security notices, billing receipts, and important service changes. We do not send marketing without opt-in.
5. Your rights
Under GDPR you can request a copy of your data, correct anything inaccurate, or ask us to delete your account at any time.

6. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The change history stays visible at the bottom of this page.
